MMOexp-Diablo 4's Vulnerable Removal Just Crushed Player Damage

The PTR launch looked promising on the surface, but dig a little deeper and it's a disaster: survivability has collapsed, DPS has been slashed, the stash is overflowing, and class balance is a mess. Still thinking of diving in blindly? Check out these fatal flaws first-can you really put up with them?

Hold your fire-the season isn't *all* bad.

Let's start with the good news. You can now upgrade Unique items to Mythic tier using the Cube, and those "must-have" build-defining Uniques have been nerfed, actually opening up *more* build variety. The new seasonal content looks interesting, too. The foundation is solid, but the game is weighed down by too many toxic issues.

Who is this for? All Diablo 4 players.
What to expect: Don't get swept up in the hype; look rationally at what's actually worth anticipating.

Survivability? Forget about it. Random one-shots aren't just unfixed-they're worse than ever.

That old "randomly drop dead" issue from Torment 12 is still here. Even worse, the "Glenn Anvil" affix-once everyone's lifeline-has been hit with a hard cap. The result? Every class has become squishy, and Necromancers are in a truly miserable state. Elite affixes are impossible to read; you'll just drop dead mid-fight without a chance to react.

Who is this for? Hardcore pushers and Necromancer mains.
What to expect: Lower your expectations now-don't count on a single affix to carry you through the endgame.

"Vulnerable" status removed-who's going to make up the DPS loss? Every player takes a hit.

Take the Wolf Spirit rune, for example; almost everyone used it because it applied the "Vulnerable" status. Now? That effect has been completely wiped out. Alternatives? Most classes don't have any! It's a straight-up loss of damage output with no way to compensate. Frustrating, right?

Who is this for? Players of all classes.
What to expect: Plan your new builds in advance-don't wait until launch to realize you can't deal any damage.

Stash space is never enough, and the Battle Pass isn't shared? It's enough to drive away anyone playing alts!

You're trying to cram runes, gems, keys, new trophies, and the new charm system into a tiny stash-it's constantly overflowing. Even more ridiculous? Battle Pass progress isn't shared across your account! Leveling an alt means grinding through everything all over again-who would actually want to do that? The devs have said there are no plans to change it. So, keep complaining if you want; they aren't listening anyway.

Best for: Alt-friendly players and hoarders.
Takeaway: Face reality-either suck it up or stick to playing just one character.

Class Tier List: Who's coasting to victory? Who's stuck in a nightmare?

Barbarians and Sorcerers are in top form-plenty of viable builds. Paladins? Still bottom-tier for DPS with no buffs; a total letdown. Rogues on the PTR had a bug causing infinite damage stacking-absolutely absurd. Warlocks feel clunky, like driving a tractor; who can stand playing a new class that handles like that? Necromancer summon builds look powerful, but control relies entirely on luck-they just wander off aimlessly after a few seconds. Druids? Bear and Wolf forms haven't changed since launch-couldn't we at least get some new skins?

Best for: Players of specific classes.
Takeaway: Quickly gauge the future of your main class and decide whether to switch.

Quick Tips: Key priorities for different types of players

Hardcore pushers: Don't force high-level runs until survivability issues are fixed-wait for a patch.

Casual gear grinders: The new Mythic system is worth checking out; just try to tolerate the stash space issues.

Alt-friendly players: The lack of shared Battle Pass progress is a major deal-breaker-think twice before leveling an alt.

Class loyalists: Paladin and Warlock players should take a wait-and-see approach-don't rush into investing time just yet.
